April Favorites.

MAC Warm Soul, Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Safe Word, Tartelette In Bloom Palette, NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray with a page of a calendar

Alright. How is it May? I swear just a week ago we moved to Virginia. Time is seriously flying. April was pretty good to me. We went back to DC, I lost some weight (health update to come!), and I got to spend a lot of quality time with B.

All of my favorites might seem pretty familiar because you’ve seen them recently. Rewind a couple posts to my FOTD from DC to see them all in action.

As the months go on, I realize more and more how versatile the Tartelette In Bloom palette is. I’m currently obsessed with the bottom row of shadows for a rosy, modern look. I’m not really one for pink or warm eyes, but somehow the shades in this palette are so flattering. I feel like I’m cheating on my Naked 3 palette, but I’ve never been able to make looks with it like I can with the Tartelette In Bloom. It’s currently my favorite palette of 2016.

I feel like MAC Warm Soul is the perfect blush all year-long. It’s my favorite blush for when I don’t know which one to pair with my makeup look because it adds warmth and glow without over doing it. The subtle glow this blush gives used to make me nervous, but I’ve been loving it so much, I haven’t been wearing highlighter.

MAC Warm Soul, Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Safe Word, Tartelette In Bloom Palette, open

You know me, I’m a bold lip lover, but I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick for months now. I feel like the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Safe Word is it. Not too brown, not too light, not too peach, not too pink. And it’s not just the color. The formula is beyond gorgeous. The Be Legendary lipsticks are emollient and creamy, but stay matte and comfortable all day. I have my eye on the shade First Time and I think I’ll be perusing the Smashbox counter again soon. Smashbox never disappoints.

The NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray has been collecting dust in my makeup drawers since we moved. The cooler weather and lack of insane humidity kept me from using it, but it’s getting a bit warmer in Virginia and I need a little more mattifying power in my life. I won’t ramble on too much because I’ve reviewed and sung its praises time and time again, but know that it’s going to be in my arsenal all Spring/Summer.
