New In and Much Loved.

It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve done some beauty haulin’. I guess it really hasn’t been that long, but I found myself in need of a translucent powder and a nude lipstick so a trip to Ulta was inevitable. And, you know, I found a couple extra bits along the way.

I went into Ulta looking for the Too Faced Primed and Poreless powder only to find that most of the Too Faced stock was gone. Even the Primed and Poreless tester was completely empty. I gave up on finding a translucent powder, until I spotted the Soap & Glory stand. Soap & Glory is a brand I’m familiar with from watching and reading UK-based bloggers and vloggers and seeing it in Ulta was beyond exciting. Everyone raves about the One Heck of a Blot powder and its ability to mattify without looking powdery so I’m looking forward to having it in my collection.

I’ve been noticing I’m getting some fine smile lines. It’s not a big deal, but my makeup doesn’t sit well in them. I stumbled upon a Tony Moly section with some masks I’m familiar with and others I’ve never heard of, like the My Little Pet Wrinkle Line Patch. It might be the concept of mini, hydrating sheet masks for my smile lines that won me over…or maybe the cute bull dog on the packaging, but who’s to say, really? I’m a big fan of Tony Moly masks so I trust that this one won’t disappoint.

My lipstick collection is full of brights and vampy shades, but has a very sad selection of nudes. The nude lipsticks I do have are all a bit too light, a bit too cool toned, or a bit too pink to be flattering. I’ve been looking for something to fill the gap and haven’t had much luck. Enter the Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Safe Word. It’s described as a rose nude, but it looks a bit more neutral than rosy on my lips. Safe Word is everything I’ve been looking for and more in a nude lip.

I’ve been wanting the Rimmel Magnifi’eyes Mono Eye Shadow in Millionaire since seeing it in action in a couple of Pixiwoo tutorials. It wasn’t available in the US up until recently and even now I can’t find it online. I found the Rimmel stand on my way to the cashier and it was fully stocked with mono shadows and mascaras. I’m so happy to have found it because it’s honestly the perfect everyday shade for a one shadow look. If you’ve been keeping up with my facebook page, you’ll know I got a pretty awesome deal on it too.

  1. Treading Water

I love One heck of a blot – I use it daily and have even bought a second one to have in my handbag too. I love it. I don’t tend to stick to the powder puff it comes with, I use a brush instead x
