A Mini Body Care Haul and Giveaway Winner Announcement!

I find as the weather cools down, my body care routine needs to be amped up. I very strictly lotion up after every shower and before bed, but sometimes I don’t feel like it’s enough. I’ve also been waking up with super puffy eyes that only look more puffy with makeup on. I decided to dabble in adding a couple extra steps into my body care routine to try to take extra care of my body. Not gonna lie, I have been pretty pleased with the new products I’ve added into the mix.

Dry brushing is this weird thing I thought I’d never make time to do.  It’s the kind of step I imagine many a celebrity doing first thing in the morning and then settling down on the beach for yoga with a green smoothie. So, you know, a very not me lifestyle, but I was willing to give it a go. I like to use the ecoTools dry brush in the morning before I hop in the shower. Dry brushing helps lymphatic drainage, blood circulation, and it exfoliates the skin! If you’re dying to know more details, I would check out this guide on how it’s done and it’s benefits.

I wasn’t sure how to work on the whole puffy eyes situation. I had used some cooling and de-puffing eye gels in the past with not much luck.  The consistency feels gross to me and I don’t find they sink in well. I do remember a time in high school when I made my own cucumber eye pads that sat in the fridge and got popped onto my eyes in the morning. Those were incredible, but messy. I decided to find a cleaner and easier alternative and stumbled upon one in Whole Foods. The Earth Therapeutics Soothing Beaded Gel Mask has a little home in my fridge and I pop it on for a few minutes after I cleanse my skin. It really does decrease the puffiness around the eyes and it makes me feel like a superhero. It also gets 2 thumbs up from B.

Speaking of Whole Foods finds, I quite literally scooped up some of the Zum & Go lavender bath salts to help soften my skin in the bath. I’m a huge fan of lavender scents and these bath salts did not disappoint. You can see them in action in my Sunday relaxation routine.

I bet you’re all also wondering who won that giveaway from last week.  Congratulations to Gabrielle!  I’ll be emailing you today so keep your eye out for it.

I’ve heard of dry brushing before but never really understood the logic. Thanks for linking the guide. Of course it all made sense as I was reading but the nurse in me is skeptical so please keep us updated on any positive effects you get from dry brushing. I’m curious and willing to try anything once. Lol
