Top 5 Face Brushes.

face brushes in a pot with marc jacobs daisy perfume I’m not one who falls in love with a brush easily. It has to be soft, not shed, apply product well, clean easy, and not take 50 years to dry. I find that I’m pretty loyal to a couple of my brushes because they get the job done and they do it well. Not only that, but they’re all drugstore or drugstore prices. I own a handful of high-end brushes and almost never use them because they just don’t do it for me or even compare to the performance of my cheaper brushes. Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. Let’s talk about what makes them absolute all-stars.

Ecotools Blush Brush, Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush, RealTechniques Duo Fiber Brush, Real Techniques Contour Brush.

The only way I apply cream blushes is with the elf Small Stipple Blush. This brush is an absolute game changer. Cream blush has never blended so easily. The soft, but sturdy bristles diffuse color like a dream without disturbing any foundation underneath. Plus, the small size makes application precise.

It’s no surprise that I am in love with RealTechniques. The brushes are made extremely well with sturdy handles and the softest synthetic bristles ever. I’ve never experienced any shedding and cleaning them is incredibly quick. My favorite out of the bunch is the Duo-Fiber Face brush. This brush is the only way I ever want to apply powder. It’s essentially impossible to over powder or over bronze with this brush. I might even buy another duo-fiber set just to have an extra. My go-to for applying foundation is the Expert Face brush. The shorter, more compact bristles allow for really fantastic and precise buffing. I love the way it smooths my foundation into my skin and how the smaller shape fits well into all the nooks and crannies. My secret for the perfect contour is using a really precise brush. The Contour brush from the Core Collection has been rocking my world for a few years now. Because it’s small, it fits into the hollow of the cheeks well without overdoing it. Plus, it makes blending in cream or powder contour easy. It’s also fantastic for blending concealer.

The EcoTools Blush Brush was one of my very first makeup brushes.  I’ve had it for about 7 years now and it’s lasted through billions of washings without shedding or fading. The bristles are incredibly soft and slightly taper in as they get to the top. As you can see they kind of fan out as well which makes for the perfect blush application. This brush picks up the perfect amount of product and makes blush fool-proof. Speaking of blush, if you were into my eye shadow palette declutter, I just put up a blush declutter this morning!

We shall talk soon!
