When I find a product that works well for me, I stay pretty loyal to it. I have been using the Palladio Rice Powder to set my base for a few years now because of the airbrushed finish it gives and how well it lasts. Unfortunately, it’s a bit (a ton) messy and inconvenient to travel with. I’ve recently been decluttering my makeup collection and decided to see if I had a cleaner, but still effective alternative to the rice powder. Lo and behold, I owned the perfect powder all along. The L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder is my newest hero.
I didn’t realize how many times I’ve already talked about the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte powder until I took a little trip down blog memory lane. It was a key player during #MarchMatteness, it was featured in a spring makeup look, and it made its way into my hand bag essentials with good reason. This powder does it all.
This powder is marketed as being mattifying and although it is, it never looks chalky, cakey, or over done like many drugstore powders tend to look. There’s something so natural about the texture of this powder on the skin that makes it perfect for everyday use.
If I want a more naturally glowy look, but need to set things a bit (I’m an oily skinned gal.), I’ll use the RealTechniques Duo-Fiber Powder brush for a light dusting. For a full on matte, but natural complexion, I’ll bring in the RealTechniques Buffing brush. It even works well under the eyes to set concealer when applied with the RealTechniques Setting Brush.
I don’t see myself straying from this beauty for quite some time because it’s just that good. If you want to see it in living color, check out today’s vlog. I used it in the makeup look I wore to see Matt and Kim last week! I also snuck a mini Ulta haul at the end of the vlog with some goodies I think you’ll be hearing more about soon.
We shall talk soon!
