On My Lips Fall 2015.

A photo of Tara's lipstick picks (Revlon Black Cherry, Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Bumbleberry, e.l.f. Moisturiing Lipstick in Ravishing Rose) with swatches next to a tiny pumpkin, a candle, and a cork trivet

It’s pretty obvious I’ve fallen into an autumnal black hole.  It’s been Fall this and Autumn that for a few weeks now and I’m not stopping anytime soon.  Although it doesn’t feel at all like Fall in Florida, I’ve been trying to find little ways to make the slow transition into the season.  The easiest change to make (without getting real sweaty in layers in 90 degree weather) is switching up my go-to lippies to some more moody shades.

All three of my Fall lip picks are fairly new to my collection and they’re honestly complete standouts in terms of formula.  The Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry is a classic.  It’s one of Revlon’s most purchased lipsticks in the United States and I can see why.  Black Cherry is the perfect vampy, burgundy lipstick for all day wear.  Sheered out with lip balm, it takes on a rosy look, but applied on it’s own it has a perfect autumnal punch.  The Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Bumbleberry is rocking my socks right now. I don’t think I’ve ever been so in love with a lipstick before.  Bumbleberry is a soft, rosy, garnet shade that works with literally any makeup look.  I always feel perfectly pulled together and luxurious when I wear it.  The e.l.f. Moisturizing Lipstick in Ravishing Rose is my everyday jam.  The satin finish, hydrating formula, and rose shade offers the total my-lips-but-better package.  Plus, there’s a secret little lip balm at the bottom of the lipstick tube that offers some extra moisture and shine.  You’re welcome for that little tidbit in advance.

I feel like my lip edit this year is a bit more tame than ones in the past (2014, 2013), but I feel that these shades will transition well into the winter and even spring.  These could be some year round favorites, who knows.

We shall talk soon.
