Failing is Okay.

Hey there bow friends,

So this is about the time where I reflect on my resolutions from last month.  Instead we’re going to talk about failure.  Last month I aimed to jumpstart healthy eating and exercise habits and let me tell you, I failed hard.  My health has been on a downward spiral for the last few months.  I don’t want to sit here and complain about it because I don’t really want to throw negativity everywhere.

The point is, I failed and that’s okay as long as I’ve learned from it.  I have learned a lot actually.  I have been extremely stressed and depressed for a while now and I am very weak when I’m undergoing all of the emotions.  That means all sense of discipline is out the door.  I eat recklessly.  Sometimes 100% healthy, sometimes 50% or 75%, and sometimes just way too much.  I eat out even though I’m broke.  All I want to do is sleep constantly.  It’s been weird.  I’ve been making not so great decisions as you may be able to tell, but this month is going to be about moving forward.  I’ve started vlogging during spring break and I talked about all this stuff in the first one as well as went shopping and baked a banana bread (Yup, I’m a domestic goddess.).  I noticed vlogging makes me feel better so I want to pursue it.  Have a watch if you’d like, I would appreciate it greatly.  Okay enough sadness.

Let’s end this on a positive note.  All March long I’ll be doing #MarchMatteness.  All March long I’ll be reviewing and recommending matte products.  I’m extremely excited about it and have loved testing out all of the products. The first day of #MarchMatteness will be up later this week so keep your eye out for it!

Thanks for letting me vent a little.  You’re all the best.

We shall talk soon.

I always feel that when I fail at something, it’s the worst thing in the world. I need to remember that nothing matters unless you are happy! Sometimes you have to fail to realise how hard you need to work at something for it to be an achievement! Great blog.

Hang in there girl! Failure is just another stepping stone to greatness, embrace it and tell yourself that its going to be better because honestly it always does get better. Its wonderful that your investing your energy and time into something you love doing.. also remember surround yourself with your loved ones and those that make you smiles and love you for who you are. Great video!

You got this. 🙂 We’re human. And, millennial…. and love immediate results, and tackling lofty goals in short spurts of time.
We are so hard on ourselves… and for what? Failing is totally fine! Not sure if this would help at all, but here goes:
When I feel down, I google inspirational people who have done incredible things with their lives, and read about how they countlessly failed to get there. It makes me feel better and gives me the strength to pick myself up, dust my ass off, and start again.

Exercising has been super hard to stick to. When I remember that 1 hour = 4% of my day, it makes it easier to do. haha
Keep your head up! You’re awesome. 🙂 Also, awesome vlog. You may have inspired me / us to do something like that someday!

This comment means the absolute world to me.

We do love immediate results! It’s so tough to keep it up when the results aren’t there, but consistency is key.

That is some incredible advice. I’ll absolutely start doing it because I bet it’s really helpful.

Only 4%! That’s so true. Wow. I can do this.

Totally vlog please! I’ll be moving to the Denver area in July and I would love to see what you guys get up to. I love Colorado. You’re awesome!
