Korres Lip Butter Review.

Korres Quince Lip ButterHey there, bow friends!

Ever since I started reading blogs, I noticed that the blogosphere really loves Korres lip butters.  At $12 a pop, I wasn’t completely sold on the idea of spending so much on a lip butter.  One day, I was going through my lip drawer when I realized..I spent like $8 on a Revlon Lip Butter and I love them.  So the blogger in me screamed,”Why not?  Just do it.  Who needs money?”  The post that convinced me I desperately needed one was one I kept returning to on sleep and water.  If she loved them I bet I would too.  Plus, the little bugger is pretty impressive.  The paraben, GMO, sulfate, and artificial fragrance free formula of the product really excited me since I’m trying to lessen the amount of products I use that are full of them.

After much deliberation (and messing with the testers at Sephora) , I chose the lip butter in the shade Quince.  I love the color matched packaging of this little pot and how the top is clearly labeled.  It smells like..a florally star fruit.  I’m not familiar with actual Quince fruit or the plant, but this smells both sweet and tart.  The shade is a sheer, soft, pinky, rose.  It’s really a flattering shade and I can imagine that this would be perfect as a cream blush based on its texture.

Speaking of texture, the product comes in a pot (meh), which makes applying it a bit unsanitary.  I also hate the feeling of applying this with my fingers as it feels kind of dry oddly enough.  Once it’s on, it melts into the lips and offers a subtle, perky tint.  It definitely feels like it softens and conditions my lips without feeling thick or heavy.  I keep this little pot in my purse for a pop of color when I’m on the go and on low-key makeup days.

And that is that!  Do you have any of these lip butters?  I’m thinking of getting another, but I’m not sure of what shade.  Let me know your recommendations!

I’m off to do some class readings.  We shall talk soon!

Yes, I have the Pomegranate one and I love it! They have them in a tube now, the tub was my only gripe about them, so I will definitely be trying out more now!

Awww I’m glad you finally got one! Thanks for the mention 🙂 I wanted Quince for the longest time but my favourite is probably Pomegranate. I also LOVE Jasmine mainly because it doesn’t really have any colour – it’s just great as an almost clear lip balm 🙂

Me too! It was definitely worth it. No problem! I was debating between Quince and Pomegranate. I still need to get my hands on it. The jasmine one smells soooo fantastic. I’ll have to have a look at it again soon.

These looks so rich and nourishing! Not to mention the color looks fantastic! They’re definitely on my “must try” list too – All these glowing reviews are making me want to run out and buy a pot (or two) right now!

If you dont like the tub its in, I’m pretty sure most of these come in squeeze tubes as well. I’ve never tried one, purely because I almost never finish a lip product of any kind and I’m really trying to go through a bunch of them before I buy any more.

Sorry for such a late reply! I had no idea and now I feel like such a bafoon about it. I’ve never seen them out of the pot, but I’m gonna do some research. That’s a plan I probably have to start myself.

Lovely blog and a sweet post! I’ve not heard of Korres here in the UK. Quince is a fruit similar to apple, I once made some quince preserve from a neighbours summer harvest.
