Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters Review.

Hi there, bow friends!

I reached into my purse and went to grab something to put on my lips because I felt like I needed some color.  I pulled out one of my Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters and realized..I haven’t really spoken of these in depth.  I’m a little late on the review game for these, but I couldn’t care less!

The formulation is so creamy and moisturizing, not at all drying.  I always apply a little lip balm before I apply a lip color, but with these I have the option of not having to.  These are $6.48 each.  I am not super pleased with the price, but I think it’s completely worth it if you grab the right shade.  I own them in 075 Lollipop and 015 Tutti Frutti.

Tutti Frutti; Lollipop.
Tutti Frutti; Lollipop.

The first shade I ever purchased was Tutti Frutti.  I wanted to get in on the orange/coral lip trend of the spring and summer, but I didn’t want to go straight out BAM orange lip.  I opted to get a sheer lip butter instead.  I love the formulation of the lip butter, but I’m not a huge fan of the shade on me.  In order for it to work on me I have to top it with a tinted gloss.  It’s not that it doesn’t look nice, it’s just not a color I’m really into.  It doesn’t look like a true orange on me, but more of a raspberry peach color.

Lollipop has to be my favorite of the two.  It’s this lovely bright, deep, blue based, purpley pink.  I never thought I could pull off this kind of color.  I think the shade suits my skin tone better than Tutti Frutti, and makes for a nice statement lip.

If I had to choose one of the two to repurchase, it would be Lollipop.  I’ve seen it look stunning on lighter skin tones as well!  Rebecca over on her blog p0larmilk pulls. it. off. – and!  She is blond, light skinned, and has blue eyes.  This shade is extremely versatile.

So what do you think?  Do you own any lip butters?  What shades do you suggest?

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend.  We will talk soon!
